The proprietor of Throneroom College of Nursing Sciences, Kafanchan, Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, has inaugurated the institution’s Board of Trustees (BoT), urging members to provide leadership that will position the college to meet global standards.The inauguration took place on Thursday in Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Kure said the board was carefully selected based on members’ professional track records and integrity, and tasked them with ensuring excellence in curriculum, staffing, discipline, and ethics. He added that the college aims to help address healthcare workforce gaps in Southern Kaduna and beyond.He also commended the board chairman, Alheri Yusuf, for her role in facilitating the establishment of the institution.
In her remarks, Yusuf thanked the proprietor and pledged the board’s commitment to the college’s development. She said the institution plans to admit candidates sitting for this year’s Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination and aims to train qualified and compassionate nurses.
Yusuf also called for collaboration among stakeholders and appealed to the Jema’a Local Government Council for support, particularly in security and road access to the school. The Chairman of Jema’a LGA, Peter Tanko Dogara, and traditional ruler Agwam Takad, Tobias Nkom Wada, commended the initiative, noting its potential to improve healthcare education and services in the area.
