Arsonists Set Fire to Anambra Representative’s Residence

During the early hours of Tuesday, unidentified hoodlums set ablaze the residence belonging to Dr. Paschal Agbodike, the elected Member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency. The incident occurred in Ubahi-Mbosi within the Ihiala Local Government Area.

The targeted property, which comprised a five-bedroom duplex featuring four living rooms and a kitchen, was completely consumed by the flames. Thankfully, no casualties were reported.

Dr. Paschal Agbodike, confirming the unfortunate event to journalists, disclosed that he received news of the incident through a telephone call. He was in Abuja at the time, fulfilling his legislative responsibilities. By the time security forces arrived at the scene, the perpetrators had managed to escape.

DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for the state’s police, verified the occurrence and stated, “The vicinity has been secured, and security personnel have been dispatched to the area to assess the situation. Our operatives are maintaining vigilance.”
