Assembly empowers 2,500 downtrodden persons in Jos

In the spirit of Yuletide and the new year,the Christ Image Assembly CIA recently put smiles on the faces of some indigent members resident in Jos and Bukuru metropolis by empowering over 2,500 persons

Similarity Christ image Assembly also organised a four day community based outreach where same number of persons were offered free medical care including eye test and several others

Coordinator of the missions arm of Christ image Assembly situated in Jos Plateau state capital Mrs Gladys Adenikinju said the gesture was in adherence to the injunction of Jesus Christ to take care of the less privileged members of the society especially during seasons to commemorate the birth of the savior of the world.

Pastor Adenikinju pointed that the outreach was a yearly event in tbr church which has touched so many peoples lives from different faith over the years stressing that it was a way of reaching people with the gospel of Christ by meeting their spiritual and physical needs.

Pastor Adenikinju said beneficiaries cuts across religion ,ethnic ,tribal or political affiliation ,as Christ demonstrated his love to all mankind
She called on philanthropists and corporate organizations to join hand with them in border to make it bigger and better in coming years .
Also speaking at the occasion ,Senior pastor of CIA Pastor Sam Olu Oyewo charged the beneficiaries not to see their present situation as abandonment from God.

Pastor Oyewo who took his reading from the book of Jeremiah 29 :11 reminded them that God,s thoughts towards them was of good and not evil saying God would give them a bright future and expected end in their sojourn here on earth.

The cleric charges them to put all their resources as well aw make deliberate and conscious efforts to serve him all the days of their lives .
