People living with disabilities (PLWD) should benefit from various programs designed to support their livelihoods in both rural and urban areas. It is crucial to ensure that disabled individuals receive the necessary support from governments, compassionate citizens, foundations, and other non-governmental organizations.
In this regard, Dr. Halimat Tejuosho, widely known as the “Mother of Persons with Disabilities,” deserves commendation for her long-standing mission to assist those living with disabilities.
According to her biography, Dr. Tejuosho has dedicated herself to supporting PLWD, earning national recognition as a prominent female leader who invests significantly in enhancing the lives of the disabled.
It is heartening to note that HRH Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejuosho has touched countless lives, providing individuals with a sense of family and belonging. Her tireless efforts not only offer essential care but also inspire others to join her noble cause. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, and a Ph.D. in Peace and Conflict Management and Political Science, Dr. Tejuosho possesses extensive knowledge and expertise across multiple fields. Her academic accomplishments reflect her commitment to continuous learning and personal growth.
HRH Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejuosho is a distinguished figure in both the business and humanitarian sectors. As the Managing Director/CEO of several companies, including Haleems Integrated Services Ltd., Haleems Construction Ltd., Haleems Royal Homes Ltd., Haleems Farms Ltd., Haleems Energy Ltd., and Haleems Agricultural Products Ltd., she demonstrates exceptional leadership and vision in the corporate world.
As a contractor with the Ecological Funds Office Committee and other multinational companies in Nigeria, Dr. Tejuosho plays a vital role in infrastructure development and project management. Additionally, she serves as the Chancellor of Espam Formation University in Cotonou, Republic of Benin, contributing to the advancement of education and the dissemination of knowledge.
Dr. Tejuosho is also the founder of the Queen Adenike Tejuosho Foundation, an NGO dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals and persons with disabilities through education, skill acquisition, and general welfare initiatives. She has provided scholarships to over 300 Nigerian students at the university level. Her role as a United Nations volunteer further underscores her commitment to global humanitarian efforts and peacebuilding initiatives.
Happily married with two children, Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejuosho hails from Eti Osa Local Government Council in Lagos State, with maternal roots in Delta State.
