Atiku has right to go to court – Buhari

By Jennifer Omiloli

President Muhammadu Buhari has said he was not surprised that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has gone to court to challenge the result of the last election.

President Buhari said this after voting alongside his wife, Aisha Buhari, at the Kofar Baru 003 polling unit, Daura, Katsina State.

The President assured Nigerians that the security agencies were taking care of the rising cases of electoral violence across the country.

“I will leave it to the law enforcement agencies especially the police because they have been meeting virtually on a 48-hour basis to make sure that they identify the flashpoints.”
