During an episode of the ongoing reunion show, Thelma opened up on her eviction and put the blame on Tacha. According to Thelma, Tacha’s fans made her leave the house.

She further took a swipe at Titans (Tacha’s fans) calling them rude like Tacha.

This didn’t go down well with Titans, they took to social media to drag her.

Atleast am grinding and making this paper myself and investing it properly, I don’t need bunch of noisemakers to arrange “GOFUNDME and yet nothing come out #BBNPepperDemReunion #bbn

This call out by Thelma has been followed by mixed reactions as many believe she’s two faced while others are hailing her for calling out Tacha.

Some believe if Thelma could forgive Seyi who cursed her mad her generation using her late brother, why couldn’t she forgive Tacha over fish?

Forgiving Seyi, she took to twitter bad wrote:

“The death of my late brother was and will still be a fresh wound that barely heals because he was MURDERED

. I forgave seyi even before he apologized. There is more to life than weighing our hearts down with grudges. Let’s learn to forgive and move on #BBNaijaReunion”

Edo 2020: APC disqualifies Gov. Obaseki, 2 others

The screening committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified Gov. Godwin Obaseki and two other aspirants, Mr Matthew Iduoriyekemwe and Mr Chris Ogiemwonyi, from participating in the June 22 Edo governorship primaries.
The seven-member screening committee, headed by Prof. Jonathan Ayuba, also cleared three aspirants: Mr Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Hon. Osaro Obaze and Dr Pius Odubu to contest the primaries.
Ayuba said this on Friday, while presenting the committee’s report to the party’s National Chairman, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, at the APC national secretariat in Abuja.
He described the methodology used in screening the aspirants as evidence-based.
“The methodology we used is clear. It was evidence-based. All we did was an interaction.
“We screened six aspirants, three were eligible to contest and three were deemed ineligible to participate,” the committee chairman said.
He said that the committee disqualified Obaseki due to what he called the defect in his Higher School Certificate (HSC).
Ayuba added that Obaseki’s name, written in his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate, was issued in error by the NYSC authority.
Though, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki, in his nomination form claimed to have obtained a Higher School Certificate (HSC) from an Institute of Continuing Education, Benin, it was observed, however, that no educational certificate such as HSC is known in Nigerian educational system.
“Even then, the same HSC was never presented in the course of the screening exercise. The aspirant admitted that he has never collected it.
“The attestation from the Institute of Continuing Education, Benin, from where the alleged HSC, which was indicated in the field of attendance, is of no consequence.”
According to him, it only attests that Obaseki was a student of the institute.
“So what we had was like an attendance; it was not a result.
“Although, the committee received a petition on his University of Ibadan Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Classics certificate, which he submitted to INEC in 2016, when he first contested as governor, it, on further probing, was presented with original certificate, issued by the university and the original was sighted.
“On the NYSC certificate, dated 6th August, 1980, the committee observed that he bears the name “Obasek” Godwin.
“While this may be an error on the part of the issuing authority, we observed, however, that the aspirant has not taken any step to have the anomaly corrected by the issuing authority.
“In our interaction with the issues raised, we concluded that HSC was defective and the NYSC certificate, and based on the party’s constitution, this has made us to recommend that the above candidate, Obaseki, is not eligible to participate in the election,” he said.
Ayuba also said that the names on all the certificates presented by another aspirant, Ogiemwonyi, were in contradiction with one another.
“Also the sworn declaration of aged, deposed to by one Capt. Steven on 3rd June, 2016, bore two conflicting names of the aspirant.
“There is discrepancy in all the certificates presented and also the difference in the names contained in the sworn affidavit of June 2016.
“Having regards to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Electoral Act, APC constitution and the party’s guidelines for the nomination of candidates and the reliance on the cases that have been settled by the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal, it is the considered view of the committee that this aspirant does not meet the requirement to participate in the APC primary.
“In view of the findings of the committee above, Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi is not cleared,” he said.
He, however, said that the committee, after screening and the verification of Mr Osaro Obaze’s documents, found him eligible to contest the primary.
Based on the committee’s observation above, the candidate is cleared,” Ayuba said.
Responding, Oshiomhole, who said that the outcome of the committee was subject to appeal, urged any aspirant, who disagreed with the committee’s report, to present his appeal or disagreement to the party’s appeal panel. (NAN)

  • Ronaldo misses penalty kick as Juventus squeeze into Coppa Italia final

Ronaldo misses penalty kick as Juventus squeeze into Coppa Italia final

Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty kick as hosts Juventus were held to a 0-0 draw by 10-man AC Milan on Friday.

But the Turin side still squeezed into the Coppa Italia final as the season restarted following a three-month stoppage for the novel coronavirus.

Juventus qualified for Wednesday’s final on away goals following their 1-1 draw in the first leg of the semi-final, played on Feb. 13.

They will now face Napoli or Inter Milan who meet on Saturday.

The two key moments happened within six seconds of each other early in the match played behind closed doors at the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus were awarded a penalty kick in the 16th minute after the VAR officials spotted the ball hitting Andrea Conti’s elbow.

But Ronaldo, whose late penalty kick in the first leg turned out to be decisive, slammed his effort against the foot of the post.

It was the second penalty kick missed by the 35-year-old in two seasons at the club.

AC Milan cleared the ball upfield but, as they did so, forward Ante Rebic aimed a wild kick at Danilo.

He was consequently sent off, forcing the visitors to play for more than 70 minutes with 10 men.

AC Milan, missing veteran forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic with a calf injury, held out well but rarely threatened to snatch the goal that would have taken them into the final.

They caused Juve only one real fright when Hakan Calhanoglu was close with a diving header early in the second half.

“The emotions are strange,” said Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci. “After 90 days, we were playing again in an empty stadium and it was strange at the start.”

Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri did not give a post-match interview while his counterpart Stefano Poli was left to reflect on the goal they conceded at home and Rebic’s red card.

“We committed the naive act of ending up with a man less. Then afterwards we had a great game and then we had chances to go ahead,” he said.

“The results are clear, two draws. The difference was subtle. I don’t think we played worse than our opponents in the two games.”(Reuters/NAN)

Popular Actress Lola Alao who has relocated to Canada for years now, has opened up on her new role as the Guardian of the late Aisha Abimbola’s kids Lashe and Keji.

After actress Aisha Abimbola passed away in Canada after battling cancer in 2018, her colleague and dear friend, Lola Alao took full custody of the two kids she left behind.

In an Instagram live video with City People this week, Lola Alao and the kids revealed that they preferred their lives in Canada to Nigeria.

“We prefer our lives in Canada because the government provides us with light, there is security but we don’t have all that in Nigeria.”

Speaking on Keji’s surgery, Lola Alao said “life is better off here though Keji, as you can see, is still using helmet, she had surgery a few months ago and still uses helmet to help her heal fast.

Keji at her 11th birthday celebration last year
It all started as a joke when she was supposed to go to school that morning but she complained of headache and I thought it was a minor thing before we knew what was happening we discovered it was serious, she was at the hospital for months for surgery and I had to stop working to take care of her for months.

Thank God she is okay, she was treated for free despite going through surgery, imagine all that in Nigeria and the amount that will be required, honestly God has really been faithful. Canadian government are the best.

Then let’s talk about what the government have been doing since the lockdown started, they have been giving us food, provision and money, I give it to their government 100 per cent. I don’t understand our leaders travels a lot and they see what’ s happening in other countries I don’t understand why they can’t do things differently for once. It’s such a pity.” she concluded.
