3 Costly mistakes girls make when trying to attract a guy

It’s a natural knowledge that guys are attracted to girls likewise girls to guys. However, this publication is centred on some of the things girls do to get a guy attracted.

Yes, girls do play the game of seduction not only in the bedroom but in the field too where they put up acts and put on outfits to bait a guy.

However, in a bid to attract guys, girls tend to get it all wrong, thereby pushing them away instead.

So you should read up the following to become aware of the mistakes girls make in a bid to attract guys:

Putting up a false impression (fake life)

A popular saying goes ‘fake it till you make it’. Frankly, fakeness doesn’t really help, it only keeps you stressed and/or perpetually broke as you try to keep it up. Guys get disgusted and discouraged by false impressions (pretence) especially when they fell in love with the fake you only to get a rude shock afterwards.

Be yourself, allow him to see your true self, so your connection will be genuine. False impressions will only cause you trouble.

    Wearing exaggerated makeup

Makeup is good, it makes you look groomed and attractive but when it becomes exaggerated you end up looking unreal and funny. Matter of fact, it spells out insecurity right on your forehead. Believe me, exaggerated makeup is a turn-off for guys.

Wear makeup with moderation, so he can see you for who you really are. Also, it will send the message that you are truly a confident woman who is comfortable in her skin.

    Dressing provocatively to attract

Dressing a bit sensually and elegantly is good enough, but if your dressing is overly sensual, it leaves nothing to the imagination and gives you the looks of a cheap whore. Moreover, other guys will ogle you which could make him begin to really see you like a cheap whore.

Dress up like a woman with elegance and a touch of sensuality, you’ll bait him like placing a bone before a dog. He will come running at your feet throwing endearments and lingering.

  • These 4 powerful habits will make people value you

These 4 powerful habits will make people value you

To value something is to hold it in high esteem, regard it and place importance on it.

The more people value you the more influential and honourable you become.

When an employer places importance on an employee, he/she does everything to keep that employee. Because he/she knows the employee’s worth and cannot afford to lose him/her.

One of the reasons why a lot of people get retrenched from their place of work these days is because they have not proven their worth and value but rather they’ve shown some behavioural flaws.

Hence, there is a need to examine the basic things you need to do that will increase your worth and value.

Because people will do whatever they need to do to keep someone they perceive is of high value to them either at work or in a relationship.

Improve on the characters mentioned below if you want to become more valuable.

    • Honesty
No individual will feel at ease keeping a dishonest friend. Likewise in an organization, they won’t keep a dishonest employee. A dishonest person is very dangerous to keep.

In relationships and marriages, if you are not honest with your spouse, your spouse will no longer hold you in high esteem.

This is why many men have lost the respect accrue to them by their wives due to dishonesty.

It is very important for you to be honest and trustworthy if you want people to value you. Value is earned but not through questionable character but rather, value is earned through godly and unquestionable character.

Until you start living a life of honesty, People will not value you.

    • Excellence
Aside from good character, there is also a need for people to possess expertise, wisdom, and excellence in their career and chosen profession.

Naturally, when you are excellent, both men of the high and low class will value you. If you are an artisan, your customers will gladly patronize you.

To be sincere, everybody values an expert. Whatever it is you do, be sure to be an expert and portray excellence in it and it will bring you before kings and Queens.

    • Hardwork
Truth be told, Nobody loves to deal with lazy people. If you want your self worth to increase you have to work diligently and faithfully.

In your place of work, work thoroughly. Know what you are supposed to do and do it without being asked. Be proactive.
    Work dignifies a person.

They may call you a workaholic, care less, and stay focused. Hard work pays.

    • Be Close To People
One other way to stay relevant in life is by getting close to people, irrespective of the situations and circumstances surrounding them. Like they say, “true friends stick with you through thick and thin”.

Some friends are seasonal friends, they show up only when things are fine and disappear when the going gets rough. It ought not to be like that.

If you want people to value you, stick with them during their good and hard times. That way you’ve proved your worth to them.

Staying close to people means relating well with them and understanding them even when they haven’t said a word.
Do well to like and comment.

  • FACT CHECK: Was Dr. Mailafia killed?

FACT CHECK: Was Dr. Mailafia killed?

The sudden death of ex-presidential candidate and former deputy governor of CBN, Dr Mailafia appears to be raising suspicions amongst Nigerians as a couple of individuals and groups have unreservedly expressed their views on the demise of the politician.

Well, this is not coming as a surprise owing to the fact that the economist was beset by problems with the government of the nation and placed under intense scrutiny by the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police Force after he alleged in a radio programme that a northern state governor is the commander of Boko Haram. Also, he once stated that Nigeria is more insecure under the present Buhari-led administration than it was during General Sani Abacha’s administration.

Although he later recanted his statement on the Boko Haram menace, one can’t help but perceive the apparent oddity of the whole situation.

    In reaction to the news of Mailafia’s demise, the National Consultative Front (NCFront) stated ;

“The Nigerian civic space is very hostile and dissidents are constantly being targeted by those in government.”

Well, could it be that Dr Mailafia, a dissident, who prided himself as the voice of the voiceless, especially regarding the killings in the Northern part of the country, was targeted?

NCFront went on to describe the death of a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr Obadiah Mailafia, as “unbelievable” and promises to investigate circumstances surrounding his demise.

Also, the Middle Belt Forum (MBF) expressed their misgiving on the sudden death of Dr Mailafia, stating that it suspects foul play in the demise of Mailafia. In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the forum, Dr. Isuwa Dogo, the group reported that the deceased was treated shabbily at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, and calls made by the son of the deceased to mount pressure on his chest for resuscitation were rejected.

Below are statements made by other groups:

“For a person of interest to Nigerian government to arrive at a government hospital, just to be declared dead after a few hours, sure smacks of foul play,”

“SOKAPU demands thorough independent forensic analysis of their son’s death,” – SOKAPU

“We call on the Nigerian authorities to ensure that no foul play was involved in the death of Dr. Obadiah Mailafia. He had been violently targeted by some persons averse to his positions on how ethnic minorities in Northern Nigeria are being treated” – Concerned Nigerians for the Protection of Human Rights and Rule of Law Initiative

Well, as we continue to mourn, mull over and probe the painful demise of the statesman, we pray the deceased rests in peace and hope the family finds the fortitude to bear its loss.

  • SHOCKER: The political statements of Dr. Mailafia on the state of the nation before he died

SHOCKER: The political statements of Dr. Mailafia on the state of the nation before he died

Dr Mailafia was quite a political force in his short-lived political career. He ventured into politics amid the killings in Southern Kaduna and ran for the presidency in the 2019 presidential election under the auspices of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In 2019, he became particularly an entity of interest and public (government) scrutiny after he made certain sensitive statements that have been designated infamous by the federal government.

Although his statements were seen as bold and liberating by some factions of the public, the federal government were not happy and immediately got Dr Mailafia interrogated and scrutinised by both Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police Force.

However, the situation got curious as he later recanted his statements in a public conference. Well, below are the interesting statements of the late Dr Obadiah Mailafia:

    1. Mailafia claimed he had a classified intelligence report that a serving northern state governor is a commander of the Boko Haram terrorist group.
    2. Mailafia warned of an ongoing plot by Boko Haram to cause a second civil war through invasion of the southern part of the country.
    3. Mailafia asserted that Nigeria was more secured under the late dictator, Sani Abacha, than it is under President Muhammadu Buhari.
