Bandits allegedly kidnaps LG Chairman, killed his driver in Kaduna

The Chairman Kaura Local Government Council of kaduna State, Dr. Humble Bege Katuka has been allegedly kidnapped by armed bandits, the Okada rider who was taken him to the farm allegedly killed.
The caretaker Committee chairman of the local government was reportedly kidnapped on Monday morning on his way his farm. 
Eyewitness said he was kidnapped on the way to his farm in Juji Village, in Chikun Local Government area of Kaduna town by unidentified gunmen.

Our Correspondent gathered that, Katuka rode to the farm on a commercial motorcycle, popular known as “Okada”.It was learnt that, on reaching the farm, the kidnappers, who besieged the area, opened fire on the “Okada” rider, killing him and whisked away the chairman.
No information has since been received from his abductors at the time of filling this report on any ransom placed on Katuka. However, several efforts made to clarify from Kaduna State Police Public Relation Officer, PPRO, Muhammed jalige, of the report proved abortive as he failed to picked calls, and SMS sent not replied.
Rcalled that Chikun Local Government has become a hotspot for kidnapping and banditry, as the incident occurred in the area more frequently.
Several notable kidnappings that shocked the nation occurred along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway, on the fringes of the local government.
