Bandits killed 1, kidnap mother in Kaduna – Police confirm

Bandits have reportedly shot dead, one Abdurrauf Muhammad and kidnapped the victim’s mother Hajiya Aishatu Muhammad in Kaduna, police report has revealed.

The incident, according to a statement issued by the Kaduna State command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Yakubu Sabo, occurred in Kujama in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, along Kachia road area.

Confirming the incident in a statement made available to journalists in Kaduna weekend, the PPRO stated that, “On 24/07/19, at about 0630hrs, DPO Sabon Tasha Kaduna reported that, he received a distress call that Armed Men entered the residence of one Hussain Manjalo of Doka Mai Jama’a via Kujama Village Chikun LGA and shot dead one Abdurrauf Muhammad after the victim was said to have challenged them and kidnapped his mother Hajiya Aishatu Muhammad a Director Personnel Management of Sharia Court of Appeal in Kaduna State.

“Patrol Teams led by the DPO quickly moved to the area and evacuated the dead body to Hospital. Combined Teams of Policemen including Anti Kidnapping Unit of the Command and Vigilante were later dispatched to the area with a view to combing the general area for possible rescue of the victim and arresting the criminals.

The IGP’S IRT were also contacted for technical support in tracking the hoodlums, further Update will follow in due course please”, he stated.
