In a troubling development, bandits have reportedly stormed the LEA Primary School in Kuriga, located in the restive Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, kidnapping numerous pupils on Thursday morning.
According to a resident of the area, the bandits, numbering in large, abducted approximately 100 pupils from the school premises. Among the kidnapped individuals are said to be the head teacher and other staff members of the school.

Just last Thursday, bandits struck Gonin-Gora, another area within the troubled Chikun LGA, prompting local residents to block the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway in protest against the abduction of an unspecified number of individuals. The recent abduction occurred during the night between Wednesday and Thursday, with eyewitnesses reporting the incident taking place from 11 pm to 3 am. The audacity of the assailants prompted residents to stage a protest against the ongoing insecurity plaguing their community.
