Nigerian basketball promoter Igoche Mark has congratulated the national women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, following their 101–84 victory over the Philippines in an international game that showcased the team’s resilience and attacking strength.
Mark, founder of the Mark D’ Ball Basketball Championship, praised the team’s performance and described the comeback win as a reflection of the players’ dedication and teamwork.“ What a performance, especially during the third quarter. He also commended Murjanatu Musa, who received the TCL Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Game award, noting that her performance highlights the quality of talent available in Nigeria’s domestic basketball system.
“Musa’s performance shows the potential our local players possess. With the right training and opportunities, they can compete strongly on the global stage,” he said.Mark further acknowledged the efforts of the team’s coaching and technical crew, crediting them for preparing the squad for the tournament.
“The coaching staff and support team deserve recognition for their commitment and preparation, which have contributed significantly to the team’s success,” he added.D’Tigress, widely regarded as one of Africa’s leading women’s basketball teams, have continued to build momentum in international competitions with strong performances from both home-based and foreign-based players. Mark encouraged the team to maintain their momentum in upcoming matches.
