Bayelsa governmemt commends Setraco

The chairman of the directorate for project monitoring and evaluation, Engr. Ebiye Tarabina has described the technical capabilities and competence of Setraco construction company as one of the reputable and engineering integrity benchmark in the state.

Engr. Tarabina made the commendation while inspecting the ongoing Nembe /Brass road project on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

The project monitoring team also inspected the ongoing Oporoma bridge project in southern Ijaw Local Government Area and the Akaba/Okodi road in Yenagoa/Ogbia Local Government Area of the state.

The project monitoring boss noted that Setraco has demonstrated unwavering commitment in delivering excellent and lasting quality projects in the state, however said the directorate would continue to insist on standards and specifications, stressing that the projects are very significant for the present and future development of the state.

He reiterated the prosperity administration commitment at infrastructural development in the state, assuring Bayelsans that the Douye Diri administration will drive the projects to it’s conclusion.

The chairman introduced the ownership concept by calling on the people of Nembe and Brass and other stakeholders to take the project as their own by protecting it, stressing that the road has huge economic benefits to both the local economy and the national at large.

Responding, the project manager of Setraco construction company, Engr. Julien said tremendous milestones has been attained in sand cement, stone base and culvets construction on the road.

Engr. Julien said pilling work on the first two bridges has commenced, adding that more milestones would be achieved in the coming days.

He appreciated the Governor of the state, Sen. Douye Diri for finding it’s company worthy for the construction of major road projects in the state.

He also lauded the chairman of the directorate for project monitoring and evaluation, Engr. Ebiye Tarabina and the entire team for the effectiveness and efficiency in project supervision in the state.

The chairman was accompanied by the secretary of the board, Engr. Sampson Igodo, board members, engineers among others.
