The Chairman of the Directorate for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Bayelsa State, Hon. Engr. Ebiye Tarabina, has called on contractors handling the Sagbama-Ekeremor-Agge road project to accelerate their pace of work.

Hon. Tarabina made the call on Tuesday during an inspection tour to the ongoing project in Sagbama and Ekeremor Local Government Areas. He expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded so far but emphasized the need for expedited clearing and sand-filling to ensure timely completion.

According to him, approximately 3.1 kilometers of the road have been cleared, while 1.5 kilometers have been sand-filled from the Ekeremor town junction, where the first phase of the project ended.

The Chairman was accompanied by the Secretary of the Board, Engr. Sampson Igodo, other board members, engineers, and stakeholders who joined in assessing the level of work done.

The Sagbama-Ekeremor-Agge road is a critical infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity and boosting economic activities in Bayelsa State.
