“He’s incredibly important to us,” the teammate said. “He’s a fantastic person, and having someone like him in the dressing room is a real privilege.
“We don’t know what will happen with his contract in the end, but of course, everyone hopes he stays a bit longer. It’s not as simple as it sounds, but in football, you never really know.”
United’s interim manager, Michael Carrick, has also encouraged fans to appreciate Casemiro’s performances and dedication before the season ends.
“Case has had a big influence on the group,” Carrick said. “He brings huge experience, he’s a top player, and he’s achieved so much in the game. Since I arrived, he’s given absolutely everything.
“His situation may have made things clearer for him, and there’s been no hiding—he’s fully committed. That’s football, though. Players come and go, and the club evolves with time.
“But he’s given his all, and it’s great to see the bond he has with the fans. It goes both ways. He’s an emotional person, and this club clearly means a lot to him.”
