Bello El-Rufai Asserts Tinubu’s Superiority Over Peter Obi; Calls for Unity against Abductions

By Daniel Edu

In a recent interview on the Mic on Podcast with Seun Okinbaloye, Bello El-Rufai, the son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, expressed his view that President Bola Tinubu surpasses Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate. El-Rufai asserted that Obi cannot be compared to the likes of former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola or his father, Mallam El-Rufai.

El-Rufai suggested that if opposition parties aimed to defeat Tinubu in the last general elections, collaboration between Atiku Abubakar, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and Peter Obi would have been more effective. He emphasized the need for unity among opposition figures.

Regarding online criticisms, El-Rufai stated that he is unafraid of being called out and is prepared to respond accordingly.

Meanwhile, Peter Obi, reacting to the recent abduction of students and teachers in Kaduna State, condemned the attack on Government Secondary School and LEA primary school in Kuriga. Expressing his concern on Twitter, Obi called for concerted efforts to secure the safe release of the abducted children. He urged the government to implement enhanced security measures to prevent such incidents in the future. Obi appealed to both state and federal authorities to explore all possible means to ensure the safe release of the abducted students and teachers.
