Bello Tasks Contingents To Showcase The Rich Arts, Culture, Tourism Potential Of Kogi In NAFEST

The Kogi State governor,  Alhaji Yahaya Bello over the weekend in Lokoja charged the State contingents to showcase the rich arts, culture and mineral resources that abound in the state at this year’s NAFEST.

Approving the participation of Kogi State Council for Arts and Culture (KSCAC) in the 34th edition of National Festival for Arts and Culture (NAFEST) holding in Ekiti State, governor Bello enjoined the participants to be exemplary in all fields.

The Commissioner for Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Comrade Salifu Idachaba disclosed in Lokoja in a statement signed by the information Officer in-charge of the ministry, Comrade Gabriel Edicha.

Idachaba who delivered the governor’s message charged the  State contingent to be of good character and showcase the rich arts, culture and mineral resources that abound in the state.

He also enjoined the state contingents to win laurels, in order to justify the support of the government and people of the state.

The commissioner, expressed confidence that the state representatives would do the state proud, in view of the immense preparation by the artistes towards the event.

The festival which is an annual event that brings all the states’ Council for Arts and Culture in the federation together to showcase the diverse rich cultures of the participating states is to commence from 13th – 19th November 2021.

Meanwhile, the Director of Council for Arts and Culture, Kogi state, Mrs. Wosilat Owuda also assured that the state’s contingents are in one spirit for the festival and confidence in bringing glory to the state.
