From Noah Ocheni, Lokoja
A clergyman, Engineer Peter Shaibu on Sunday charged Christian faithful to refocus their spiritual growth on building men for God’s work for its Enormous benefits.
Engineer Shaibu, the guest speaker gave the charge at the Christian Evangelical Fellowship of Nigeria, (C.E.F.N) Zonal headquarters church, Lokoja during this year’s Father’s Day celebration of the church.
Engineer Shaibu who dwelled on this year’s theme, ‘Building Men for God’s Work’ stressed that “our spiritual growth must be guided towards the structural building of God’s house where He lives, and you know all those that serve the Lord deligently by his work would be rewarded.”
In his address, the Chairman of the Fellowship, Mr. Noah Ocheni, JP
appealed to the Church council to refocus and reposition it’s next year’s project budgetary provisions towards the completion of the Church Auditorium.
The structure according to him has been on standby all this while pointing out that its completion should be the council’s focus and next priority.
He thanked members of the Fellowship for quick response to this year’s project funds despite the hardship in the town and commended the organising committee for their tireless efforts towards making the day’s ceremony a reality.
He also thanked various groups in the church for their contributions and prayed for the rewards of all those that went extra miles in their quests to bring in an innovation to encourage and strengthen members’ faith in the Assembly.
