Benue Apc Backs Alia for 2027

As the 2027 general elections draw closer, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Benue State chapter, party’s stakeholders have unanimously adopted the incumbent Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, as their sole candidate for the governorship position.

Speaking during the celebration of Governor Alia’s one year in office, held at the IBB square, Makurdi, the state capital, the Acting Chairman of the party in the state, Sam Omale, stressed that the adoption of the governor as the sole candidate of the party was as a result of his unwavering commitment to the development of the state. 

Mr Omale, who lauded the Governor over his giant developmental strides within two years, noted that he has impacted positively the lives of Benue citizens through his people oriented projects, policies and programs. He called on people of Benue State  to continue to support the governor as he steers the affairs of the state.

The Chairman,  pledged the leadership of the party’s continued loyalty and unflinching support to the present administration led by Governor Alia, to enable him achieve more for the state.

Also speaking, the Chairman of APC Elders’ Forum in the state and former Senator who represented Benue North East Senatorial District (Zone A) in the National Assembly (Senate), Chief Barnabas Gemade,  endorsed the governor on behalf of elders of the party in the state ahead of 2027 governorship. 

Sen Gemade, contended that, Rev Fr Alia, deserves reelection due to his achievements, adding that under his watch, Benue State has witnessed unprecedented growth.
