Benue Ex-Deputy Gov Abounu Applauds Och’ Idoma Over Honoring Prof Ujah

The immediate past Deputy Governor of Benue State, Engr Benson Abounu, has applauded the Paramount Ruler of the Idoma nation, His Royal Majesty,Dr Elaigwu Obagaji, for honoring the Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo, Prof. Innocent Ujah, with a Honorific Chieftaincy tittle of “Ogwu Agba K’Idoma”.

Engr Abounu, who gave this commendation at the Palace of the Idoma Area Traditional Council, during the conferment of honorific chieftaincy tittles on deserving Sons of Idoma held at Otukpo in Benue State, pointed out that he was personally happy with the personalities honored with traditional tittles, stressing that it was due to their track record of achievements.

Speaking further, the former Deputy Governor, particularly noted that the conferment of the Chieftaincy tittle on, Prof. Innocent Ujah, would spur him to do more for the Idoma nation in particular and the country as a whole, describing the honor as well deserved.

Engr Abounu, maintained that the decision by the Och’ Idoma to add the Pioneer Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Health sciences Otukpo, Prof Ujah to his council of advisers, would raise the bar of his throne. He lauded His Royal Majesty, for the choice of Prof. Ujah.

Performing the ceremony, His Royal Majesty, Och’ Idoma, explained that the tittle of ” Ogwu Agba K’Idoma” conferred on Prof Ujah, was unanimously agreed by his council of chiefs, stressing that it was based on merit.

The Paramount Ruler who is the Chancellor Federal University, Atouke, Bayelsa State, described the landmark achievements of Prof Ujah as immediate past President, Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, and current Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo as living legacies.
