Bichi LGA To Begin Streets Naming, Re-Naming And House Numbering

Bichi Local Government Council under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Dr Yusuf Mohammed Sabo is set to commence numbering of houses, street naming, streets renaming and other related matters across the local government area where he called on the good people of the area to cooperate for the success of this laudable exercise. A standing committee on street naming, house numbering and landlord/tenant profiling has been formed with other 10 members under the chairmanship of the Vice Chairman of the local government Council, Alhaji Idris Muhammad.

The council will also organize an engagement meeting with political, traditional and religious leaders, and all other critical stakeholders to seek their support to carry out this exercise successfully. The Council Chairman, Dr Sabo noted that the planned numbering of houses, streets and roads naming would begin fromv Bichi Township and proceeds to all major towns and villages especially Saye and Danzabuwa respectively.

Dr. Sabo announced that this exercise would take place for the first time in the history of Bichi local Government Council is a strategic move in improving good governance; provide necessary information for easy movement and accessibility as well as boosting security. He noted that the efforts will also help in identification of houses, streets or roads, for swift response in an event of an emergency. In conclusion, the council chairman announces that his administration would continue to provide more dividends of democracy across the local government without bias.
