Bingham University, Karu, has announced plans to graduate over 1,576 students across various disciplines during its 2024/2025 Convocation Ceremony scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Kuje Ayuba, made this known during a press briefing on Tuesday, where he highlighted the university’s two decades of academic excellence and commitment to holistic education.

According to him, “All 1,576 graduands were found worthy in both character and learning and will be awarded first degrees in the various disciplines for which they were trained during the 2024/2025 academic session.”

He further disclosed that an additional 460 postgraduate students will also be conferred with various advanced degrees, having successfully met the university’s academic and ethical standards.

Professor Ayuba noted that the upcoming convocation marks not only an academic milestone but also the celebration of Bingham University’s 20th anniversary, reflecting its enduring dedication to educational excellence, spiritual development, and societal growth.

He assured that the institution remains committed to efficient service delivery, adding that graduates will be able to collect their certificates immediately after the ceremony.

“This year’s convocation is special as it also showcases some of the modest achievements of the university in the past 20 years,”* he stated.

The Vice-Chancellor reiterated that the university, established in 2005 by the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), was founded to provide quality education built on Christian values.

“Our vision is to be a world-class conventional university in a Christ-centered environment, while our mission is to produce graduates with both knowledge and skills for self-reliance in the fear of Christ,” he said.

Professor Ayuba revealed that Bingham University now boasts 15 faculties and 63 departments, offering 48 undergraduate and 59 postgraduate programmes. The main campus is located in Karu, while the Teaching Hospital and College of Medical Sciences are situated at the Jos Campus.

The Vice-Chancellor announced that Rev. Dr. Job Ayuba Bagat Mallam, President of ECWA and Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, will serve as Chief Host, while the Chancellor and Chairman of the Convocation Ceremony will be His Royal Highness, Pharmacist (Dr.) Luka Baba Panya, the Esu Karu.

In his remarks, Professor Ayuba expressed gratitude to past and present members of the Board of Trustees, Governing Council, Management, Staff, Students, Parents, and all partners for their unwavering support over the years.

He commended regulatory agencies such as the National Universities Commission (NUC), JAMB, and professional accrediting bodies for their roles in ensuring Bingham University’s steady growth and recognition both nationally and internationally.
