BIPOGA Wrestling: Police Zones Battle for Top Honors

The 15th Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA) opened on February 14, 2026, at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, with wrestling events delivering exciting results for spectators.

In the Women’s 65kg category, Ayodele Esther of Zone 2 claimed gold, followed by Chidera Chibueze (Zone 9) with silver. Seleakiare Alfred (Zone 16) earned bronze, while Blessing Ebare (Zone 5) finished fourth.In the Greco-Roman 97kg category, Shadrac Hunu of Force Headquarters won first place, with Muokokwu Anthony (Zone 13) taking second.

Nweze Kingsley (Zone 9) earned third, and Theman Luka (Zone 3) finished fourth.The 77kg Greco-Roman title went to Ikechukwu Robbinson (Zone 9), followed by Nwolisa Kingsley (Zone 13), Kelvin Nwose (Zone 5), and Wilson Judge (Zone 3).

Women’s wrestling continued in the 76kg category with Dimejesi Nkechi (Zone 13) winning gold, Nwome Ifeyinwa (Zone 9) silver, Kehinde Aare (Zone 2) bronze, and Okologo Joy (Zone 5) fourth.

In the 72kg women’s category, Zone 9 performed strongly as Ezeugwu Ifeyinwa claimed first place. Balogun Adenike (Zone 17) was second, Faith Ikhines third, and Happiness Godson (Zone 16) fourth.

The wrestling competitions have highlighted the skill and dedication of police athletes across multiple zones, setting the tone for a competitive BIPOGA.
