Governor Babagana Umara Zulum Borno Governor Constructs Over 20,000 Houses, 23 Ultramodern Estates Across 27 LGAs Borno Governor Constructs Over 20,000 Houses, 23 Ultramodern Estates Across 27 LGAs of Borno State has successfully constructed over 20,000 houses and developed 23 ultramodern estates across the state’s 27 local government areas since assuming office in May 2019.
Among these projects is the Metro Housing Estate, located on the former Metro Police playground in Maiduguri, the state capital. This estate, named after Vice President Kashim Shettima, comprises 72 units of three-bedroom, two-story houses designed with modern architectural excellence.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Abdurrahman Bundi, titled #Zulum1238CapitalProjects, the estate was built to accommodate senior military officers, personnel from sister security agencies, and other federal government employees.
The housing units are equipped with ultramodern facilities, including a shopping mall to meet the residents’ daily needs, reflecting the governor’s commitment to quality infrastructure.
The statement further highlighted that the Metro Housing Estate is just one of over 1,200 capital projects executed under Governor Zulum’s administration in the past five years.
This massive housing initiative underscores the governor’s dedication to addressing housing deficits and improving the living conditions of Borno State residents.
