Borno PDP Sanctions 2019 Gubernatorial Candidate And State Chairman

By Dauda R Pam Maiduguri

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Borno state chapter has suspended the 2019 Gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Mohammed Alkali Imam together with the former State Chairman, Hon. Zanna Gadama Mustapha for anti-party activities.

The suspension order was delivered today Wednesday, by the State Secretary of the Party, Alh Yusuf Dikko, during a press conference at its Secretariat, along Lagos street, MAIDUGURI.

According to him, the move became necessary due to their refusal to obey Court orders and their roles in destabalizing the party at the State level and pointed out that even after the Supreme Court judgment in favour of Usman Baderi in March this year, Imam and Gadama refused to subordinate themselves to the authentic leadership of the party.

Clarifying on the matter, the state secretary of the party stated that, following series of complains from the ward and local government levels and stakeholders further warranted the suspension order on the erring persons.

Meanwhile, the state party secretary hinted that their doors will remain open for the suspended party officers if they show remorse  and that preparations are on top gear for the party’s State congress slated for Saturday, September 25, 2021.
