BREAKING: Bandits abduct another set of students in Katsina

There are fresh reports that armed bandits have again struck in Katsina kidnapping scores of students.

The fresh abduction reportedly took place at an Islamiyya school in Mahuta town, Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Media reports indicates that  the gunmen abducted the students while on their way home, after attending a Maulud procession at Unguwar Al-kasim, a nearby village.

Reports added that the actual number of the kidnapped students has not yet been determined, but local vigilante groups have begun rescue operations.

This comes after 344 students of Government Science Secondary School in Kankara area of the state were taken from their school by bandits on December 11, 2020.

The abductors released the students after negotiating with government seven days later.
