Breaking: Casualties reported as Shiite clashes with Nigeria police in Kaduna

One person has been reportedly killed from gunshot injury following clashes between the Nigeria police and El-zazaky led Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), the Shiites group in Kaduna, Friday.

As at the time of filing this report, no reason has been ascertained on the causes of the clash, eye witness however attributed the conflict to alleged procession, marking some Islamic calendar by the Shiites group along Ahmadu Bello way in Kaduna main town.

According to eyewitness, police open tear gas around Ahmadu Bello way to disperse the Shiites procession, causing hold up, which ignited the conflict between them in the morning hours of Friday.

Families, friend have also taken into social media, calling for caution for loves ones going around the conflict areas at Ahmadu Bello way around Kaduna central market.

Police is yet to release any update on the incident when contacted through office of the Kaduna state command spokesman, Asp Mansir Hassan, on the latest about the conflict, as he could not respond.
