Breaking: Court of Appeal Confirms Nasir Idris as Kebbi State Governor

In a decisive ruling, the Appeal Court in Abuja has upheld the victory of Nasir Idris as the Governor of Kebbi State. The court dismissed the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, retired Maj.-Gen. Aminu Bande.

The three-man panel, led by Justice Ofem Ofem, declared Dr. Nasir Idris of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the duly elected governor of Kebbi State. The tribunal found the petition by Maj. Gen. Aminu Bande lacking in merit and dismissed it.

The ruling emphasized the petitioner’s failure to substantiate allegations of forgery and non-compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Act. Further details on the judgment are expected to be provided later.
