Buji L.G Flag-off 2021 Livestock Vaccination Exercise

The annual livestock vaccination exercise has been flagged-off in Buji local government area of Jigawa state where a total of 11,000 heads of cattle, 20,000 small ruminants comprising sheep and goats, 200 dogs and 5000 birds of all categories were expected to be vaccinated during the exercise.

Speaking to journalists shortly after the ceremony, the head o agriculture and natural resources department, Malam Hassan Abdullahi Jibrin Kafin Hausa, announced that 50 Vails of CBPP Vaccines, 5 Vails of ARV and 7 Vails of NCD has been received from Birnin Kudu Zonal office as starting doses.

He commended Buji local government council for its determination yo ensure that livestock keeping is given special consideration in order to boost economy and self-reliance across the local government area, adding that all the required supports and logistics were provided by the council to ensure the success of the programme in the local government.

In conclusion, Malam Hassan Kafin Hausa thanked the staff of Buji local government agriculture department and all those who are working selflessly towards the success of the vaccination exercise adding that the programme would be profitable to livestock rearers in the local government area respectively.
