Christ Apostolic church, Vineyard of Comfort, Abuja, today after 25 years of existence ordained two Elders, six Deacons and nine Deaconesses.
The General Overseer of CAC, Vineyard of Comfort Worldwide Prophet Samuel Kayode Abira who was represented by Pastor David Adeleke said that the ordination was coming at God’s appointed time.
According to Prophet Abiara , the church has gone through many stages but God has made it possible at this time for the ordination to become a reality.
He admonished the newly ordained Elders, Deacons and Deaconesses to charged to evangelize to win more souls into the Vineyard of God as this is the first commandment of God to the Church.
” Heaven is our home , so it is mandatory to preach to the teeming lost souls outside to come into the fold of Christ.”
Speaking about the current insecurity challenges in the country, the Prophet was optimistic that the ugly situation would soon become a thing of the past , adding that with time Nigeria will have abundance.
The Assembly Pastor of CAC Vineyard of Comfort, Abuja branch, Pastor Olawale Elekolusi told Daybreak that the ordination of the Elders, Deacons and Deaconesses is a milestone achievement for the church after 22 years of existence.
Pastor Elekolusi said, ” after 22 years of existence this is the first ordination in the church, after years of challenges. ”
According to him, the ordination has happened at a time when the church needs more hands for the work of God and so the spiritual officials are expected to assist and uphold the work in the church.
One of the ordained, Elder Adesanya Kuye , who said he joined the church in 2012 from the Redeemed Church expressed joy for being counted worthy for the exhalted office. He said that his new office will further enhance his zeal for the service of God through his material contributions to work in the church and it will also increase his passion for evangelism in the prisons, hospitals and humanitarian service to the vulnerable in the society.
Deacon Olalekan Odanye said that the new office is a renewed call for service to God.
Odanye who has been a dedicated member in the church for over nine years expressed happiness at his new spiritual position which he said has given him morale to move closer to God .
This new office is a confirmation of God’s prophecies come to pass in my life that I am a servant of God, Odanye said.
Lady Evangelist and Deaconess , Olamide Sharon Falaye said she has been a member of the church since it’s inception, for 22 years.
” I feel elated today because this is the first spiritual ordination into office in the history of CAC Vineyard of Comfort Abuja branch.
“I thank God that it has happened and I am part of it; and my vision is to see this church grow into a Mega Church with branches across the country and beyond Nigeria. ”
I want to touch more lives, to add more members to the church grow from glory to glory. To ensure that this church be listed among the first for propagation of the gospel of Christ, Falaye said.
The newly ordained spiritual officials are Elder Adesanya Kuye, Elder Olasunkanm, Oladiran, Deacon Banji Windapo, Deacon Adeniran Moses, Deacon Adegoke Adewonyi, Deacon Morakinyo Francis, Deacon Dauda Adekunle, and Deacon Olalekan Odanye.
Others are Deaconess Omoniyi Elizabeth, Deaconesses Olamide Falaye, Ogunrimde Modupe, Hanna Omole, Funmilola Gabriel, Olorunsogo Olufunke, Deborah Odanye, Adebayo Toyin, and Wemimo Jimoh.
