Chicago State University (CSU) in the United States of America has released the academic records of President Bola Tinubu to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. This action comes in compliance with the order of a United States District Court in the Northern District of Illinois.
The order to release Tinubu’s academic records came after a U.S. district judge dismissed President Tinubu’s objections. The judge ruled in favor of Atiku Abubakar, stating, “Mr. Atiku’s Application is, therefore, granted.”
As part of this development, CSU has responded to Atiku’s requests, including his request for a copy of any diploma issued by CSU to Mr. Tinubu in 1979. CSU stated that they do not typically keep copies of student diplomas and could not locate a copy of the original diploma prepared for Mr. Tinubu in 1979.
It is reported that Atiku intends to use these academic records in his appeal at the Supreme Court, where he is challenging Bola Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election. However, Tinubu’s legal team has argued that the documents would be of no use at the Supreme Court.
