Chief Kefas Ropshik Felicitates Former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, at 91*

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kefiano Group of Companies, Chief Kefas Ropshik, has extended his warm felicitations to Nigeria’s former Head of State, General (Dr.) Yakubu Gowon, GCFR, on the occasion of his 91st birthday anniversary.

In a statement personally signed by him, Chief Ropshik described General Gowon as a distinguished statesman, visionary leader, and one of Africa’s finest patriots whose life and leadership have remained a symbol of humility, service, and unwavering commitment to national unity.

He lauded General Gowon’s exceptional leadership during one of Nigeria’s most challenging periods, noting that his foresight and dedication to peace and reconciliation laid the foundation for a united and stable nation.

“General Gowon’s legacy is one of uncommon patriotism and grace. His steadfast devotion to the ideals of nation-building, his moral integrity, and his consistent advocacy for unity and peace continue to serve as a moral compass for our country,” Ropshik stated.

The business mogul further commended the elder statesman for his post-leadership contributions, particularly through the Nigeria Prays initiative, which he said has remained a source of spiritual and moral renewal for the nation.

“As we celebrate this remarkable milestone of 91 years, we give thanks to God for the life of General Gowon — a man of faith, purpose, and exemplary character. His enduring influence transcends generations, reminding us all of the power of humility and service in leadership,” Chief Ropshik added.

He prayed that God would continue to bless the former Head of State with good health, strength, and peace of mind, while expressing optimism that his legacy will continue to inspire generations yet unborn.

“General Gowon represents the finest virtues of leadership — integrity, vision, and compassion. His name will forever be etched in the annals of Nigeria’s history as one of the true architects of national unity and progress,” Chief Ropshik affirmed.
