In continuation of the meeting for media practitioners by Sokoto state Ministry for Women And Children Affairs, the technical session of the event with presentation of educative and challenging paper presentations
Presenting a paper on Child Rights/GBV Reporting ethical response from the media, Ankeli Emmanuel discussed reporting child rights as an area which demand special knowledge and skills to realize the rights of the child without doing harm.
That Journalist creates and maintains an enabling environment that will influence legislative opinion and mobilize resources for children.
He should also influence politicians regarded mostly as law makers to come to the aid of (our mothers) women, and children as leaders of tomorrow, saying any nation without responsible and legible youths cannot progress or develop to world standard, among others.
Hajiya Kulu of the Women Affairs Ministry also discussed Meeting Objectives challenging media practitioners to exercise their expertise and professionalism to expose perpetrators, cases of assaults, follow cases to Courts till judgements.
Kulu lamented that hardly has any journalist investigate cases of assaults, rapes and all forms of child abuse to the last minute even in the Courts of law.

Spotlight Imitative-To The Rescue (Overview of EU-UN SI program focus and strategies) by Pius Uwamanua.
How can the media support advocacy, prevention and response to CP/GBV ? Action plan/Commitment? Q&A was presented by Loveth, while Case Management; Where are we, case plan? was by Pius and P5,and Way Forward was presented by a Director from Women and Children Affairs.
