SINOMA New Material Company Limited has advocated the use of Fiber Cement Board in the Nigerian building industry because of the advantages it has over other options.
Nwankwo Chukwudi Daniel, Sales Manager of the company made this known while speaking to our correspondent on the sidelines of the 2022 ARCHIBUILT EXPO organized by the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) at the Shehu Musa Yaradua Center in Abuja on Thursday.
Nwankwo said Fiber Cement Board which is a new material in the built community in Nigeria is used for external wall siding systems, interior wall decoration systems, ceiling systems, flooring systems and partition wall systems among others.
The Sales Manager stated that the fiber cement board is a better alternative to bricks and POP because it is eco-friendly, affordable, durable, saves time and is resistant to weather, water, fire, termite, with superior sound insulation.
He listed the types of buildings that are suitable for Fiber Cement Board application to include residential, commercial and industrial buildings as well as schools, and hospitals; “especially where speedy construction, cleanliness, and hygiene is of high importance.”
He urged builders in Nigeria and Africa should embrace Fiber Cement Board because it is the new trend in building technology with a lifespan of at least fifteen years.
