Chinese steel company donates transformer to host community

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Yongxing Steel Company Nigeria Limited has donated a 1,000 KVA Electricity Transformer to its host community, Ogua, located in Ikpoba-Okha local government Area of Edo State.



The Edo state  Commissioner for Environment and sustainability, Engineer Jonathan Lawani while commissioning the 1000KVA transformer thanked Yongxing steel company for fulfilling part of the memorandum of understanding it entered with Ogua community.

Gathered at Ogua community market Square during the commissioning were indigenes and residents of the community where Yongxing Steel Company has its factory established since 2012  as a manufacturing enterprise producing steel for building and construction companies.

Speaking at the commissioning of the 1000 KVA electricity transformer, the, Managing Director, Frank wang who spoke through the
Company’s Public Relations Officer, Isaac Olufemi said having spent  10  years in the community during which they have enjoyed the love and kindness of Ogua people, noting that the donation was one of the promises made and now accomplished.

The Enogie of Ogua, His Royal Highness, Ogiesoba Aghaghowen expressed gratitude to the management of Yongxing Steel Company for the donation and other similar such gestures in the past.

Edo state Commissioner for Environment Enginner, Jonathan lawani told the youth in the community to guide the transformer against vandals while appreciating the steel company.

Yongxing steel company is located in the community at the Benin By-pass road Benin city and has employed several workers, which produces various kinds of steel products such as iron rods, for construction purposes.
