CHRISTMAS: Demonstrate love, reflects on the birth of Christ, pray for leaders to end insecurity in the country, Silifat Sule

Nasarawa State First Lady, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi A Sule has felicitated with members of the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas, saying the period should be used by Christians to reflects on the purpose of the birth of Jesus Christ, demonstrates love, while also praying for the countries leaders to end insecurity.

The First Lady, stated this on Friday in a message to mark 2021 Christmas celebration signed by Lamino Gambo Ishaqu, Special Assistant on media, explaining that Yuletide season provides, Christians yet another glorious opportunity to soberly reflect on the birth of Christ which is for the salvation of mankind.

Silifat Sule while calling on Christians in the State to demonstrate the love of Christ by showing compassion, love and extend care to the less privilege also stated that it is also an avenue for Christians to live in peace and unity with people of other faiths, noting that what the country needs now is true love for one another.

She further enjoins Christians to sustain prayer for the state, the country and her leaders considering the security challenges in the country ranging from Banditry, kidnapping and other forms of criminal acts in the country.

“I enjoins all and sundry to celebrate cautiously and avoid drunkenness, drug abuse, dangerous driving in the name of celebration.” She added.

“Emulate the exemplary teachings and lifestyle of Jesus Christ who, in his life time preached and practiced love, peace, forgiveness, compassion and unity amongst all humans.”
