Clergy To Regard Challenges As Stepping Stones For Service To God

The Parish Priest in-charge of Immaculate Conception Parish, Odolu, Rev. Fr. Jerry Omonu Musa over the weekend enjoined Clergy men to regard every challenges as a stepping stone of rededication to God’s service.

Rev. Fr. Musa who gave the advise at Ss Peter and Paul Catholic church Egume in Dekina local government area, while Marking his 25th years of his priestly ordination said the Silver Jubilee is worthy of celebration.

He described the 25 years of his service to God and humanity as
heroic and praised God for His mercy, guardiance, favour and provision of good health that enhanced his rededication to His service as a priest.

Rev. Fr. Musa also enjoined the upcoming priests to be honest, sincere, serving God with passion, move closer to Him and always be prayerful so as to overcome societal challenges.

Morally, the Clergy stressed ” there are dry and rainy seasons of life which should always encourage us to be steadfast in our prayers as the importance of prayer in Christian life cannot be overemphasized.”

Rev. Fr Musa has served in various capacities in Idah Diocese among which were Parish Priest of Ss Peter and Paul Catholic church, Egume, Parish Priest of Holy Spirit Parish Imane, Vicar General Administrator, Chairman of Nigerian Diocesan Priests Association, Idah chapter, and CAN Chairman Idah local government respectively.

In his sermon, Rev. Fr. Simeon Omale attributed the provisions of good health to the celebrant since his 25 years of ordination to his humility, commitment and dedication to service of God.

He therefore stressed the need for extra care as a committed servant of God to wax stronger adding that greatness can only be achieved through deligent service to God as he prayed God to sustain him in the remaining years ahead.

Rev. Fr. Omale who pointed out that
“the Lord will fight for you and stand by you in your remaining years of your service, as I urged people to always pray for their priests to enable them overcome their challenges.”
