COHEADS Northwest Zonal Exhibition Colourful -Participants

The Northwest Zonal Exhibition and Competition For The Students Of Polytechnics And Colleges Of Technology held in Kano last Tuesday was colourful and hitch-free.

The exhibition which was organised by the council of heads of polytechnics and colleges of technology in Nigeria( COHEADS) and hosted by the Kano state polytechnic was well attended by contingents of the polytechnic and colleges of technology across the Northwest.

Pavilions stationed by the participants were inspected by the special guests while many questions and research findings were shared by the stewards where they officially revealed the impacts of their inventions to disseminate the information about what they invented.

Speaking at the occasion which took place at the school of Technology, the Rector, Kano state polytechnic Dr. Kabir Bello Dungurawa disclosed that they are working to ensure that Technology is making advancement in tertiary institutions with special emphasis on skills acquisition professionalism.

He announced that Kano state polytechnic is receiving all the necessary support and recognition from the Kano state government under the leadership of governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje where he assures that in the near future, economic development and growth would be achieved through Technology.

” I wish to welcome our guests who trooped to Kano for the exhibition from different colleges of Technology across the Northweat zone, and thanked our dynamic commissioner ministry of Higher education Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure who is working selflessly to ensure that all is well under her ministry which we regard as a great success”. He concluded.

In their separate speeches, the representative of the commissioner ministry of Higher education who is the permanent secretary at the ministry Alhaji Adda’u, the representative of the Chairman National Board for a technical education NBTE professor Idris Bugaje and the COHEADS Chairman described the exhibition as one of the best in Nigeria.

Some invited guests and students that had a chat with our correspondent said that there is a great success in Kano state polytechnic where the Rector and his lieutenants remained committed towards the progress of Technology in the state where in the near future, excellent results would be seen on ground.
