By Joyce Remi-Babayeju

The FCT Minister Barr. Nyesom Wike on Tuesday flagged off the Kabusa – Takushara Access Road, as part of the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda for the people in communities.

Speaking at the Kabusa Community during the flag – off ceremony of the construction of Kabusa – Takushara road at Kabusa Secondary School, Wike said that construction of the Kabusa – Takushara Access Road is part of the fulfillment of government’s promises, and to restore the lost hope of the people of Kabusa community.

“What we are doing here today is what the renewed hope agenda is all about, bringing back the hope back to our people.”

“I am sure the people of Kabusa and Takushara have lost hope and this is the reason the road will be done. But to the glory of God and the coming in of the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu it is now a different story.”

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said, we are going to turn rural communities into cities, and in the next seven months we are going to commission this road and provide streetlights, Wike promised.

Also, the minister has frowned at the culture of brining students out to line up in the sun to welcome government officials instead of staying in their classes to study.

He said , ” I apologize, and I say, it t is not in our culture. l will no longer accept it. I want to appeal to the principal or the principal of the various schools, that this is the last time that they will allow this to happen.”

However, the minister has ordered that the Government Secondary School, Kabusa, should immediately be upgraded to what it ought to be.
” Our children deserve to have the best, he emphasized.
