The Bichi Emirate Council on Sunday expelled five area heads including Dambatta and Muktar Adnan. Mr Adnan is said to be the longest serving kingmaker in Kano and allegedly turbaned late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, in 1963.
The other four locale heads in Bichi Emirate expelled are Tsanyawa, Dawakin Tofa, Minjibir and Bichi.
The Emir of Bichi, Aminu Bayero, a child to late emir Bayero, sacked Mr Adnan and the four others region heads in his emirate chamber for supposed traitorousness to the new emirate made by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Mr Adnan, before his rejection, held the customary title of Sarkin Bai-kano and region head of Dambatta Local Government Area. He was delegated kingmaker in 1954. After nine years, he co-turbaned late Ado Bayero as Emir of Kano in 1964, as per Dabo FM, an autonomous radio in Kano.
The rejected area heads are accepted to be faithful to the present Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, who is against the formation of the new emirates.
Bichi is one of the four new emirates made by the organization of Governor Umar Ganduje to bring the all out number of top notch emirs in Kano State to five.
Prior to the making of the new emirates and arrangements of emirs for them, the emir of Kano was the main five star emir in the state.
Pundits of Mr Ganduje’s organization accept the new emirates were shaped to trim down the forces of the present Emir of Kano, Mr Sanusi, who had scrutinized Mr Ganduje’s organization.
The expulsion of the of Bichi region heads comes a similar day as that of two region heads in Karate, one more of the new emirates.
The Karaye Emirate Council expelled the District Head of Kiru, Ibrahim Hamza, and that of Rimin-Gado, Shehu Muhammad, for supposed unfaithfulness.
The board made the goals during its subsequent gathering directed by the Emir of Karaye, Ibrahim Abubakar II, at his royal residence in Karaye.
This was contained in an announcement by the Information Officer of Karaye Emirate Council, Haruna Gunduwawa on Sunday in Kano.
“The council has approved the appointment of Alhaji Auwalu Ahmad as District Head of Rimin Gado, Magajin Rafin Karaye, as District Head of Kiru and Alhaji Garba Alhaji as Dan Madamjn Karaye,” he said.
Mr Gunduwawa said the council has also approved the appointment of Shehu Ahmed as District Head of Karaye among others.
“The council congratulated the new District Heads and prayed for Allah’s guidance in course of discharging their duties,” he said.
Meanwhile, On Tuesday, a High Court ruling in Kano granted an interim injunction to stop the Kano State Government from taking any action on the Kano emirates without consulting some kingmakers, including Mr Adnan, who are allies of Mr Sanusi.
The gale of today’s dismissals was made by the emirates, not the government.
