Court jails Civil servant for Employment Scam

The Federal court in gwagwalada ,Abuja has convicted and jailed a civil servant,Amdii Gideon at the office of the head of civil service of the Federation for seven years for involvement in employment scam.

The Independent Corrupt practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) has accused Amdii Gideon of demanding N250,000 and N162,000 from an applicant with the promise to procure a job at the Federal Civil Service Commission.

The Prosecution, in the ICPC’s statement said ,was able to prove it’s case beyond reasonable doubt which formed which form the premise upon which the court found the accused guilty of the charges against him.

Recently ,ICPC had organized a policy dialogue on entrenching transparency in the public service recruitment process in Nigeria to curb recurrent cases of job scam.
