Police in Kaduna and Delta states have intensified efforts against criminals, leading to the arrest of multiple suspects and the recovery of significant weapons and cash.

In Kaduna, police, in collaboration with local hunters, arrested 12 suspected kidnappers and seized N908,000 in ransom money, along with firearms, including four AK-47 rifles. The arrests were made during various operations across the state, with the help of local intelligence.

In Delta, the police, led by Commissioner of Police Abaniwonda S. Olufemi, recovered large caches of weapons and thwarted kidnapping attempts. Notable recoveries include AK-47 rifles, pistols, pump-action guns, and rounds of ammunition. Several kidnappers and cultists were arrested during raids, and victims were successfully rescued.

Both states continue to ramp up operations to curb criminal activities as the ember months approach.
