By Muhammad Ibrahim,Sokoto

Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko of Sokoto has called on the people of the state to continue to use the old and new Naira notes as there is no law that currently stops their usage.

Senator Wamakko was speaking on Tuesday at his Gawon Nama residence shortly after returning back from Abuja for an official engagement.

Senator Wamakko further wondered why the people would suffer themselves for nothing urging that, people should continue to receive and use the old Naira notes pending the final decision by the authority concerned.

He further said: “Who can give out what he does not have?”

Bashar Abubakar MC in a statement said”These new Naira notes are not in circulation and not available, so why should one deny himself an opportunity for using the old ones? Senator Wamakko asked.

He thanked the people of the state for their sustained invaluable support and cooperation to APC at all levels.

A special prayer was offered for the continued assistance and success of APC leadership in the State.
