Damagun Condole Sokoto PDP Chairman Over Mother’s Demise

Ambassador Umar Damagum who is the Acting National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has today Friday condole the Sokoto state PDP Party Chairman, Alhaji Bello Aliyu Goronyo, over his mother’s demise.

The statement by Yusuf Dingyadi, Senior Special Assistant to the National Chairman on Media and Communications was made available to newsmen in Sokoto.

Dingyadi said a delegation led by Hon. Umar Mohammed Bature, the PDP National Organizing Secretary visited Goronyo’s family and submitted the condolence letter on behalf of Damagum and the party leadership.

According to him, Damagum was saddened by the loss and described the death as huge loss, painful and irreparable being the family pillar who trained and raised the family.

”The death of Hajia Khadija Goronyo is very painful, she left a vacuum that is difficult to fill in recognition of her valuable and supportive contributions.

”We on behalf of the entire leadership of our great party condoled state party chairman, state party members and by extension the rest of the family members, Sokoto citizens over the sad loss,” He quoted Damagum

He prayed for the deceased and enjoined family members to emulate her community and religious contributions in the state and national at large.

Responding on behalf of the family, PDP Sokoto state Chairman extended his appreciation over this message and the visit to sympathized with family over the loss.

He prayed Almighty God to continue to guide and support the leadership of the party under Ambassador Iliya Damagum for peace, unity and progress.
