Dangote, Dantata Donate N2.5bn to Borno Flood Victims

Business magnate and elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, on Tuesday, donated N1.5 billion to support victims of the recent floods in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State. The donation was made during a visit to the Borno State Government House, where Dantata, leading a delegation from Kano, expressed his condolences to Governor Babagana Zulum and the affected people of the state.

Dantata lamented the country’s economic challenges and urged political leaders and elites to reflect, repent, and uphold the fear of God. He prayed for peace and harmony in both Borno State and Nigeria.

Governor Zulum expressed deep gratitude for the visit, calling it a beacon of hope in a time of sorrow. “The people of Borno deeply appreciate this show of magnanimity by a 96-year-old to visit us. Let me announce that our Baba has donated the sum of N1.5 billion to support the flood victims,” Zulum stated.

This donation comes shortly after Dantata’s nephew, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, contributed N1 billion to assist those affected by the disaster, bringing the total donation to N2.5 billion.
