Daniel Etim discusses the reasons behind fewer financial aid requests from his female colleagues.

In a recent episode of the “Bad and Bougie Podcast” with Moet Abebe and Tolani Baj, Nigerian actor Etim Effiong discussed the disparity in seeking financial aid between male and female actors in Nigeria. Effiong attributed this difference to societal norms where men are expected to handle financial burdens, leading to more visible requests for help from men. He highlighted the tendency for men to privately bear financial challenges rather than seek assistance from women. Additionally, the actor’s personal life, including a humorous exchange with his wife Toyosi and the joyous announcement of their second child’s arrival, has contributed to their public persona.
