Dash Receives Covid 19 Medical Equipment To Combat Spread

The Management of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital DASH, Lafia, says it has received medical equipment to strengthen the fight against the spread of corona virus in the state.
The Chief Medical Director Dr Hassan Ikrama, made the information available to news men in lafia, saying the 110-bed isolation centre in the hospital is well equipped.
Dr. ikrama also said 10 rooms with one bed each as well as another unit with 100 beds for 100 persons, bringing it to a total number of 110, in preparation for any escalation in the number of covid 19 patients.
He further disclosed that all the rooms are equipped with facilities that will help in boosting the condition of the patient adding that television, DSTV, refrigerator and air-conditioning, are part of the facilities received to ease the recovery of the infected persons.
He however stated that the confirmed cases in the state are been isolated in the facility and are all in a stable condition, stating that some of the contacts of the confirmed cases are also quarantined and their samples taken for testing.
The CMD further applauded the state government for this great feat, adding that the hospital is producing face masks and delivery of more personal protective equipment, medical consumables, a functional ventilator and is expecting more from the state government.
