Delta APC Stakeholders Meet in Asaba, Emphasise Unity, E-Registration, Congress Preparation

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State on Friday held a meeting in Asaba, focusing on party unity, electronic registration, grassroots mobilisation, and preparations for upcoming congresses.The meeting took place at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Asaba, and brought together party leaders, elected officials, and members from across the state.

Addressing participants, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori urged stakeholders to prioritise unity and collective interest, stressing that political leadership should be anchored on service, humility, and inclusiveness. He noted that mobilisation, membership registration, and active participation would be critical to the party’s performance in future elections.

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), commended progress recorded in the APC’s e-registration exercise and advised members to remain focused ahead of the congresses. He encouraged early engagement, dialogue, and consensus-building to reduce tension and avoid internal disputes.

Former Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, thanked Oborevwori for convening the meeting and pledged collaboration among stakeholders to strengthen the party in the state. Former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa also urged intensified grassroots mobilisation to deepen e-registration, emphasising inclusiveness and consensus in the conduct of congresses.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, praised the digitalisation of the party’s membership register and recommended a consensus approach for the congresses.

Party officials reported progress in e-registration across the three senatorial districts, while noting technical and logistical challenges.A minute of silence was observed in honour of the late Senator Peter Nwaoboshi.
