The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State has won all the Chairmanship seats in July 13 Council polls in the 24 Local Government Areas of the State where elections were conducted the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC).

However, the DSIEC Chairman, Dr. Jerry Agbaike added that the PDP Chairmanship candidate in Udu Local Government Area was returned unopposed as all other opposing candidates stepped down for him before the election day.

The results of the election were announced on Sunday in Asaba at the headquarters of the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC).

Addressing newsmen shortly after the declaration of the results by the LGA Returning Officers, DSIEC Chairman, Dr. Jerry Agbaike, said the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) won in one electoral ward in Oshimili North local government area.

It will be recalled that the PDP Chairmanship candidate in Udu Local Government Area, Chief Vincent Oyibode, was returned unopposed, after the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) stepped down for him.
