Desist Character Assassination of Leaders. — Hon. Taiwo Advices

The former Executive Chairman, Kabba Bunu LGA, Hon. Nathaniel Ojo Taiwo on Thursday in Lokoja enjoined the people of the state to avoid character assassination against leaders which is inimical to development.

Taiwo who gave the advice in a Press Conference held in Lokoja the
state capital noted that such character assassination against leaders is inimical to development.

He expressed confidence in Leaders who according him are doing their best to improve the living standard of the citizenry.

He therefore asked the people of Kogi West Senatorial District to be patient with their Representatives and leaders, rather than engaging in social media condemnation.

On the attacks on Senator Sunday Karimi, Member Representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National, Taiwo stressed that Karim is doing his best to ensure that the district enjoys democracy dividends.

Hon. Nathaniel said with the template already in place, for which the Senator is carefully implementing, expressed confidence that the Senator will finish well, and urged them to support him, rather than social media condemnation in confronting issues.

Contrary to the misinformation, Hon. Nathaniel said Sen. Karimi has not neglected his constituents, said in all honesty he has been working tirelessly to deliver on his campaign promises, towards improving on the lives of his constituents.

He disclosed that he is aware that the Senator facilitated the Iluhagba-Egbe federal road palliative repairs, with ₦500 million budgeted for 2024 to complete the project.

” His distributing of two tranches of palliative of a trailer load of rice to each local government area and Semovita across the districts is commendable”.

” I’m also aware he is supporting in ensuring the construction of a military mini-barracks at the Kogi-Kwara boundary, enhancing security in the region”, said these achievements demonstrates clearly that Senator Karimi has in the last one year not neglected his constituents in terms of welfare said his style may not be laudable and known to many, urged the Senator to make measures to address the issues of accessibility and making the people know all that he is doing.

Hon. Nathaniel expressed gratitude to former Governor Yahaya Bello for the location of Kogi State University at Kabba adding that he has done his part and should be commended rather than condemnation.

”Gov. Ododo is doing well in education sector. His regular and prompt payment of salaries remains commendable. We must commend the government for the swift rescue of students of CUSTECH.

Similarly, Hon. Nathaniel called for patience for the administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu said it may be rough now, says it will soon be better for the citizens and country in general.

He pointed out that Tinubu inherited a very shabby economy “Our economy was in bad shape when he assumed office because of the decision of the past leaders.”

The Subsidy removal, he noted was not in the budget when President Tinubu assumed office but assured that Nigeria under Tinubu, maybe tough now, but will be better in the nearest future.
