Despite A Brief Clash At Sabon Gari Kano and Proposed Demonstrations At Press Centre, Kano Is Peaceful

Kano is one of the biggest city in Nigeria with over 10m people population as according to the last 2006 census, while the city remained the centre of commercial activities and business fortune.

The state is now calm and peaceful despite a brief misunderstanding between the state Islamic police popularly known as “Hisbah” and alcohol sellers at Sabon Gari area where the place remained the base of non-indigenes for decades.

Daybreak news made an investigation and findings about the incident where our correspondent gathered that the matter started when the men of Hisbah command stormed Sabon Gari area trying to makes some findings about some suspicious places that sales alcoholic drinks and other substances, where a brief clash erupt before control.

Similarly our correspondent who was able to reach Kano press center for news verification reported that the centre was sealed by the combine security agencies based on the information they got that a protest concerning insecurity has been planned and scheduled to hold at the centre.

As at the time of filing this report, there is no any violence across the city state and other parts of the state while all the markets like Sabon Gari, Singer, Kantin Kwari and other bussiness locations such as Bata, Yankura, Wapa and Yankaba we’re seen busy and peaceful.
